I traded the Convertible D in on the black 1959 356A coupe in June of 1959. I have owned the coupe the entire time and tracked down the Convertible D in 1990 after 32 years, bought it back and restored it. The coupe is original and stays here in Matteson while the Convertible D is at my home in Sun City West, Arizona. (Middle lower photo: Dale is racing the silver Porsche in 1958).
